Control systems

There are two methods of control

1. Fully Automatic Controller
Automatically controls the solar driven fan according to the voltage produced by the solar panel.  The three top override buttons allow the end user to override the PowerTrack™ controller, whereas the two lower push buttons allow the end user to open or close the dampers if required.  If the 'CLOSED' push button is depressed the fan will not run.  The modulation opening and closing of the dampers is fully controlled depending on temperature levels internally via the automatic control panel.

2. Semi-Automatic Positioner
This also allows the end user to override the action of the fan but also includes a control dial to adjust the opening or closing of dampers to any user set requirement.  The dampers will automatically close if the temperature drops below 17°C and they automatically open above 24°C.

Sensors available

CO₂
For more specialised applications, such as Classrooms, dedicated CO₂ sensors can be incorporated and it is normal to pre-set the CO₂ sensor at 1500ppm.  Once this level is reached, the dampers will open automatically for a period of 20 minutes before returning to the closed down position.  CO₂ sensors are recommended for Classrooms, Sports Halls, Gymnasiums and Offices with winter use.

Air Quality
In the case of highly densely populated rooms, such as Conference Rooms or social areas, air quality sensors are recommended in conjunction with temperature sensors, to detect odors or heavy particulate contaminants.
