Heat HarvesterHaving witnessed unprecedented price increases in energy costs this year, increasing attention is being paid to the question of how to reduce our current energy consumption and our heating bills for this coming winter.

Monodraught launched the Heat Harvester, designed like a mini jet engine, at The Building Centre in Store Street, London, on 21st September 2006. With any building over 5m in internal height, the hot air created by the heating system rises to the underside of roof level.

The Heat Harvester is suspended from just below roof level and sucks in all the heat that is otherwise wasted and blasts the heat down by as much as 15m – 20m back down to floor level using just a 35W motor! As a result, the running costs are just 50p per week and yet, the Heat Harvester can reduce wintertime heating bills by at least 30%!

Monodraught guarantee to achieve temperature stabilisation within 1°C at a maximum 7 days from installation. If this is not achieved and a substantial reduction in heating costs is not achieved within 28 days, Monodraught will provide a money back guarantee. A free survey is carried out before any proposal is submitted. Everyone is welcome to attend the launch at The Building Centre but please e-mail your intention to attend beforehand to assist in catering. The launch is at 11am followed by a buffet lunch at 12.30pm.

Running Costs
The beauty with the Heat Harvester™ is that it costs so little to run (in energy costs)! Typically, the 35 Watt motor costs just 50p per week to run, so taking into account capital costs and installation costs, the payback is normally less than three years.

Free Survey
Monodraught’s Engineers or Representatives will carry out a free Survey, which simply involves using an infrared thermal temperature gun to detect the difference in temperature between floor and ceiling. This temperature differential will obviously vary according to the time of year and the construction of the building but it will give a good indication of the potential heat that can be recovered, which would otherwise remain at the underside of roof level. Older buildings, by their construction, may have a higher degree of building leakage and so, will actually lose the heat that has accumulated at the underside of roof level to atmosphere-so both new and old buildings will benefit from the Heat‑Harvester™ principle.

Guarantees
Monodraught guarantee that within 7 days from installation, temperature equalisation will have been achieved with a maximum of 1°C between floor and ceiling. If the Client is not entirely satisfied with the performance of the Heat‑Harvester™, a full refund will be given upon removal of the units. The Heat‑Harvester™ unit itself is covered by a normal 12 month warranty.
