Two Mechanical and Civil Engineering students join Monodraught Project Sales team on placements.

Monodraught are committed to working in an ethical and responsible manner.  Our products and services are low-carbon and low-energy solutions, which help people be in a healthier natural built environment.  As such, we aim to extend these strong ethical credentials into ways to contribute to our local and wider community.

One of our focus areas is “more skills, more opportunities” i.e. attracting, developing and retaining people through investment in skills.  This summer, in addition to the new Project Code initiative, we have welcome two new placement students to the Project Sales team from the University of Bath and Brunel University London.

Alex Bodenham is a 3rd year student of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath.  He has joined us for a one year placement.  His main tasks include finding suitable ventilation solutions for schools and offices in order to provide occupants with more natural working conditions.

“I chose to work at Monodraught because I have an interest in the environment and believe reducing carbon footprint is very important, something Monodraught also aims to achieve.  My first few weeks have been really enjoyable. I’ve learnt a lot and have been impressed by the friendly office atmosphere.”

Yasser Adris has joined us on a three month placement during his summer break from studying Civil Engineering at Brunel University.  Yasser has found the work relates well to his degree focus with modules on sustainability, flow rates in buildings.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here, the first four weeks has flown by.  Every job is different and I am enjoying gaining transferable skills such as project management and client management.”
