Monodraught are pleased to round off 2016 with both a new award and news that we have been shortlisted for the CIBSE Building Performance Awards for 2017. 

We have been named winner of the Best Product/Service Range Category at the 2016 Best Business Awards.  The BBAs pride themselves on having a large panel of over 20 independent expert judges who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector.

Commenting on the award, in the Best Small to Medium Size Business category, the Chairman of the Judges said: “Monodraught is a great all-rounder that demonstrates a strong commitment to its staff, giving back to the community and, most of all, innovation in hybrid lighting, cooling and ventilation for the built environment. In the quest to reduce energy consumption, Monodraught invests heavily in research and development and works closely with several universities to develop enhanced solutions. Monodraught is a leading light in improving the environment of the buildings we work and live in and in conserving energy.”

In June, we were delighted to win Buckinghamshire Company of the Year and Best in Wycombe District at the Buckinghamshire Business First Awards.  At the time, the judges commented on the passion of our staff.  They were impressed by our innovative use of technology; from high-tech computer modelling used by the design team, the use of Phase Change Materials in our natural cooling products, right through to our virtual reality marketing programme which we use to help our clients and prospects experience our natural and hybrid lighting products.  We were commended for the fact that more than 50% of our suppliers come from within the Buckinghamshire area and our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, including sponsorship of local charity Buckinghamshire Mind.

The CIBSE Building Performance Awards will be announced on 7th February in London.  Monodraught are in the Energy Saving Product or Innovation of the year category alongside five other companies and would like to congratulate all the short-listed companies for their success.
