60 members of staff and their partners piled into coaches and cars to party the night away at the Glamorgan Cricket Club grounds, where they were entertained by a show band from the musical “Grease”.  Following a splendid Christmas dinner, the night was spent on fairground amusements, which included dodgems, a bucking bronco, and a fairground strongman act of ‘ring the bell’. One of our installation men was so strong that they actually broke the hammer – never mind ring the bell!   A highly festive time was had by all and the next day was spent looking around some of the tourist spots of Cardiff.

Yet another Monodraught wedding, this time in the most romantic setting possible!  At a Scottish Castle!  Jackie, who has been weaving her magic spell over our Sales Orders for the last 20 years, has now waved her magic spell over Kevin and their wedding was at the Fernie Castle, just a stone’s throw from St Andrews Golf Course.  A Scottish piper led the wedding party onto a wonderful wedding ceremony held on the lawns of Fernie Castle and the newly wedded couple spent their first night in the magical treehouse that is a beautifully appointed Honeymoon Suite built up in the treetops.  The sun shone, the bagpipes played, and all the guests danced the night away in the Grand Hall.  You cannot get a much more magical wedding than that!

Many people ask us, “What are we going to come up with next?”  Well, we keep coming up with new ideas and new products, all of them seem potentially world beaters and all quite unique!  Many of you may know some of them but it is worth repeating them for all to see!

Sola-boost
The Award winning solar driven fan boost to our natural ventilation systems, which increases the natural ventilation rate by 50% using just solar power.

The PowerTrack™ Controller
The Patent Application for this was filed at the beginning of this year and this increases the solar power transmission by 250%.  In other words, when the solar power reaches 10V, the PowerTrack™ Controller boosts the voltage of the solar energy to 25V.  What this means in practical terms is when the sun is at the highest level, the power transmission to the fan is always at its most intense.

Solar Extract
This is another version of the Sola-boost, again using solar power but works in the extract mode purely as extract ventilation.  Recommended for use in conjunction with WindowMaster automatic window openers, where windows are used to provide perimeter ventilation and the Sola-boost extract encourages this cross ventilation to provide an energy free powered extract source.

Sola-cool
A new Patent Application is due to be filed shortly, so as to produce cooled natural ventilation with powered input – but all just using solar energy.  Probably being the ultimate in sustainable technology, this now will enable the Windcatcher success to be repeated right around the world.  Still under intense development but expect the actual product launch in approximately mid 2007!

Mono-cool
A series of Patent Applications will shortly be filed covering this range of new technologies, which will encompass a range of cooling technologies, all based around the same objective of finding solar driven and energy free ways of linking various cooling techniques with our Windcatcher natural ventilation technology.  These new systems are currently under development with Nottingham University.

Sola-signal
Our very latest Patent Application still under wraps at the moment but basically, it will control the four seasons of our Windcatcher operation and in so doing, will remove the need for a BMS control system!  Again, the product will actually be launched in the summer of 2007.

We strive to continue to find new ideas that will help our environment and help our fellow countrymen to address the ever urgent issues of global warming, and at the same time, the ever urgent issues of reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.  We cannot say what we will think of next but you can bet that we will find some more ideas soon!
